There are more than 100 seed companies in Jiuquan. While other companies are engaged in seed production, we are studying seed production. We study the crop and variety, different growing areas, water and fertilizer conditions, plant training methods, cultivation density, parental period, soil nutrition and microorganisms, disease and pest control, plant chemical control, post-harvest processing, seed disinfection, dry heat treatment, every year we arrange a large number of comparative tests on the company’s own farm and surrounding farmers’ plots. At the same time, experts in various aspects of agriculture are invited from time to time to carry out training programs. Although it has now entered the era of molecular and bioinformatics, field experiments are still a step forward to solve agricultural production problems.

The history

Topsource Seed Company is established by Liwei Yang and Joshua Wang in 2005, but many of our staffs have been envolved in contract seed production with foreign seed companies for a long period before 2005.

Before founding Topsource, Liwei Yang had worked as a production manager for one of the leading seed production company in China for over 12 years. Having a strong background in agriculture and marketing channels, she is responsible for European and Asian customers.

Joshua Wang was educated in Chinese Agriculture University, and then he study and work in Chinese Academic of Agriculture Science. He is more objective-oriented, solve problem and questions one by one, lead the team to achieve the goal step by step.

In 2008, we start a small office in Zhangye area, focus on hybrid tomato seed production. Now there are 6 technicians in Zhangye base, with an area of over 300 mu each year, hybrid tomato and pepper. Now we are carrying out seed production in Jiuquan, Gaotai, Jinta, Zhangye, Jiayuguan, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and other places.
